Mission Statement

Not all that long ago, while doing some aviation research, I stumbled across a reel of ETO gun camera footage from 1944. With a lot more digging, I managed to uncover 40 reels of gun camera footage from 1944, some of it in color!

Crawl Back Into the Cockpit.

After I accumulated all of the ETO footage, most which has not been seen in decades, I began to catalog the disorganized segments. To my amazement I was able to identify 700 segments of gun camera footage. Each segment contains an average of three sequences of different targets so what I have collected is a total of over 1,800 sequences of footage from the P-38, P-47 and P-51 gun cameras that flew on those missions.
"Great video. Thanks for helping preserve history. A++ recommended."

"A unique and invaluable resource! Great production."

"...this is the best collection of gun camera footage I have ever seen. - Computer Pilot Magazine

Get Back in the Action.

Now that I’ve put together the single largest collection of thrilling, exciting and amazing gun camera views from 1944 and cataloged the dates of missions, pilots, squadrons, fighter group and targets from the films, it is time for you to begin to see these amazing movies.

Watch the Real Battles as They Happened.

I’ve seen them repeatedly and they still make me shake my head in amazement at the skill and airmanship exhibited.

"It Doesn't Get Any More Real Than This"

The footage is completely packed with attacks against target aircraft of all sorts, including V-1s, fighters, bombers, trainers, gliders and jets. You’ll also see lots of action against ground targets like trains, trucks, towers, and rail yards. You’ll see speeding cars and trucks strafed and explode, planes crash, pilots bail out and some of the most outstanding flying I’ve ever seen. Be prepared, there is lots of stuff that crashes or explodes in these movies. Some of those planes were flying about 400 MPH and sometimes so low to the ground that dirt was kicked up on strafing runs. They even had to climb to go over telephone wires!

As each volume is produced, you’ll find them available here. The entire series of DVDs is the reassembled chronology of 1944 with all the segments that I was able to rescue. There will be ten total volumes and I urge you to purchase them all to see the action and how the targets and tactics changed during that fateful year.

If you want to stay posted on the newest releases of these movies, you should subscribe to my newsletter, the link is at the top right of the page, and I’ll send you an email as they become available. Each one is more amazing than the last.

"Steve, I just watched the movie and was amazed how clear the action was. I remember flying that mission but you did a superb job of bringing that old gun camera film back to life. It was a real treat to see my long lost combat footage. I would recommend your gun camera movies to anyone that really wants to see what it was like to be a combat fighter pilot in WWII."
William Beyer, WWII P-47/P-51 Pilot, 361st Fighter Group

"At last you can now identify the air-air kills and ground destruction with the pilots concerned. A recommended movie series."

"Really enjoyed screening your excellent DVDs of gun-camera film. It was well organized and the info on each pilot's film well done. The addition of the musical score adds greatly to the presentation of these action shots."
Bob Powell, WWII P-47/P-51 Pilot, 352nd Fighter Group
