As a pilot of a Cessna 182 myself I know how finding a used gem of a bulkhead assembly is a lucky find. New, these are upwards of $3,400. I learned my lesson the hard way after I had a mechanic not install a new one with the correct propeller spacers and it cracked. Since then I always keep my eye open to hunt down used backplates so other Cessna 182 pilots won’t have to go through what I had to.
This is a Cessna 182 Bulkhead Assembly. It also goes by part 0752637-27. This is a used hard-to-find Cessna bulkhead assembly that has been repaired at an FAA-certified repair station and has a yellow tag stating it is airworthy and can return to service. The part is sometimes referred to as a backplate. It was disassembled for repair. Cracks by bolt holes were welded IAW Spec # 1000.
