Detailed B-29 manual with many illustrations and images. August 20, 1943.
“This Handbook contains the basic information required for the correct operation of the Model B-29 airplane. It should be kept in mind by the operating personnel that this airplane is a relatively new development and contains many intricate mechanisms which are required for the accomplishment of missions for which it was designed.
It is realized that local conditions may in many respects determine the appropriate technique required, but care must be taken that the choice of technique does not violate basic rules for the operation of this airplane.
This Handbook contains only the information pertinent to the operation of the Model B-29 and does not cover the fundamentals of flying.”
