This video contains the 8mm home movies filmed by a USAAF pilot operating n Greenland, looking for a suitable place to establish a weather station. This was Operation Nanook.

Great scenes filmed in villages in Greenland. Great scenes of the people as well.

Great aerial views.

Liberty scenes from several ports.

Interior shots of the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress Lak O Lovin he was flying in. Not a lot, but still cool.

Also, scenes filmed during the rescue of the Boeing B-29 Superfortress Kee Bird. This same B-29 came to a very sad end oafter being made flight worthy many years later.

We also see video of a Douglas C-47 Skytrain on skies.

An extremely well-made and well filmed USAAF home movie.

This is a great video to show your kids and grandkids what you did as a young man in the Navy!!
