Rare Aviation became many years ago in 2004 when I first started rescuing and restoring WWII gun camera footage and interviewing some incredible WWII pilots. That led to me archiving historical pilot and aircraft manuals.

I then had a hand in rescuing the old Cessna Cockpit Companion and bringing it back to an updated life.

These days I’ve also branched out to finding aircraft parts that can be tricky to locate. That began as I was hunting down hard to find Cessna 182 parts I needed. If I finally found one and there were two available, I’d grab the second one so another pilot would not have to go on the hunt as I had.

Welcome to the eclectic Rare Aviation online pilot shop. Like every good FBO, you are always welcome to come in, sit down, put your feet and enjoy our virtual bad coffee.
